MEATBALLS A LA PIZZAIOLA

1 pckg Meatball Seasoning by Twisted Pepper CO.

1 pckg Marinara Seasoning by Twisted Pepper Co.

1.5 lb ground chuck

1 lb ground pork

2 eggs

2/3 cup milk

1 cup bread crumbs (progresso plain)

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

8 oz smoked mozzarella cheese

1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

 

Preheat oven to 350°, dice the smoked mozzarella, set aside. Make the meatballs following directions on meatball package adding the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

Insert 1 cube smoked mozzarella cheese into the center of each meatball and form the meat around it, enclosing the cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.

 

Top with Marinara Sauce: In med. Saucepan, add tomatoes, tomato paste and 1 cups  water, 1 pckg of Twisted Pepper Marinara Seasoning Mix, simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, add meatballs and serve.
